The focus is on providing sustainable logistics and supply chain solutions to end customers in various markets through the sale of Double Deck trailers. By advising on the best cost-efficient transport solutions, valuable relationships have been built with a rapidly growing number of customers and dealers on an international level. For this reason, we are looking for a: Business Development Manager Export.
Job Description
As a Business Development Manager Export, you are responsible for expanding international markets and strengthening market positions in various countries. You will work closely with both existing and newly recruited local dealers, from which a wide range of international customers will be acquired and served. You are not only a successful salesperson but, more importantly, an advisor who adds value by advising customers on efficient and sustainable transport solutions. You will delve into new markets by identifying opportunities, including developing local action plans that consider where opportunities and (technical) challenges lie in relation to possible limiting factors. You will then execute these plans.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to enter new export markets and expand existing ones.
Build and maintain relationships with local dealers and end-users through the dealers.
Identify new business opportunities and actively approach potential customers through and with the dealers.
Advise international customers on innovative and sustainable transport solutions, focusing on technology, efficiency, and cost savings.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales (including inside sales), marketing, engineering, production, and service, to translate customer needs into logistical (technical) transport solutions.
Participate in international trade shows and events to expand the network of local dealers and customers in various countries, thus increasing brand awareness and growing sales. Willingness to travel 40% of the time.
Who Are We Looking For?
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in export sales or business development, preferably in the logistics sector.
Technical Knowledge: Experience with and knowledge of truck trailers or similar products and/or (supply chain) services are a plus, but not a requirement.
Network: An existing international network within the transport and logistics sector is strongly preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in Dutch and English. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
Personality: Commercially driven, customer-oriented, and proactive. You have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and learn quickly.
Sustainability: Interest in and knowledge of sustainable logistics solutions is a significant plus.
